As a Pharmacy Manager, you will lead and develop a pharmacy team that provides exceptional patient care by promoting best practices and leading through change while identifying and addressing performance opportunities. You will support program awareness, onboard newly hired pharmacy team members, and recognize colleagues for their success. The Pharmacy Manager consistently exhibits best practices when working the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing patients with meaningful counseling, and abiding by all legal and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices Overseeing the pharmacy team during bench shifts, including strengthening pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching and follow-up Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and utilizing safety guardrails at every workstation Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, coaching the team to do the same, collaborating with the patient’s total healthcare team, and proactively resolving insurance and/or medication issues Offering and delivering immunizations to keep patients healthy; identifying, engaging, and supporting Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize Managing pharmacy inventory with focus on protecting cold chain products Conducting onboarding for new Technicians and Pharmacists, including training on CVS workflows and ensuring trainees are on track for required training and licensure Ensuring operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalating issues as needed Partnering with the Store Manager to maintain a healthy talent pipeline and ensure cross-trained colleagues are on track for licensure Overseeing Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable); delivering performance reviews and closing gaps Maintaining a flexible schedule and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic Reviewing business reporting for operational insights and developing action plans to improve workflow, service, patient care, and compliance Building a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion; encouraging feedback and taking action Maintaining clinical and technical skills; pursuing opportunities to expand knowledge to support patients Supporting access to care and improving patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care where permissible (e.g., testing and prescribing services such as COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception) Understanding and complying with all relevant laws, regulations, professional standards, and CVS Health policies; maintaining patient privacy and a safe, inclusive workplace

Required Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist

Preferred Qualifications

Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM-EL) program 3-5 years of related experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting Ability to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs

Additional Details

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 39.5 Time Type: Full time Pay Range: The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $65.00 - $78.00 per hour

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade. The actual base salary offer depends on factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
