Electrical Engineer role at TAIT. TAIT partners with artists, brands, IP holders and place makers to bring culture-defining, never-before-seen experiences to life. TAIT has a 45+ year legacy of innovation in live events, precision engineering, and creative design with 20 global offices. This role focuses on leading the design, development, and evaluation of complex electrical systems for the Live Event Industry, collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership, and contributing to cutting-edge solutions. Responsibilities
Design control systems that meet or exceed client specifications while delivering value for portable and fixed-install projects. Collaborate with a lead designer to perform engineering analyses of electrical loads, component layout, and functional safety of the control system. Perform optimization and value engineering reviews of existing and new equipment; research and specify components; reuse and modify existing designs. Prepare bills of materials and assist in procurement of outside vendor parts and services. Create finished electrical assemblies and fabrication drawings; contribute to operation & maintenance manuals and final client submittal packages. Continue to expand application of emerging technologies for leading-edge controls technology. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required; perform duties in accordance with company policies. Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering or Technical Theatre degree with emphasis in electrical design 2+ years in Electrical Design and Engineering or related field Intermediate CAD experience Knowledge of UL508A and NEC/NFPA concepts Industrial control system knowledge (PLCs and VFDs) Beckhoff knowledge is a plus; Siemens knowledge is a plus Working conditions
Moderate exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, odors, and/or loud noises Exposure to hazards or physical risks; follow basic safety precautions Must wear and properly utilize PPE (safety glasses, reflective vest, ear protection, safety-toed shoes, etc.) Must be able to view and work on project tasks on a computer monitor for extended periods EEO
