Physical Therapist
supports NM's mission, adheres to our Code of Ethics and Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, and standards. A licensed physical therapist in Illinois, following the professional ethical standards and state regulations. Responsibilities include direct patient care, teaching, committee participation, and process improvement. Serves as a role model in professional, clinical, communication, education, and leadership activities. Responsibilities: Demonstrate NM values of teamwork, patient-first, integrity, and excellence daily. Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and appearance. Provide accurate information, timely updates, and address questions or concerns promptly. Use effective service recovery skills when issues arise. Maintain responsibility over patient care plans through collaboration with PTs/PTAs. Show teamwork by assisting colleagues and respecting diverse opinions. Use resources efficiently and manage work schedules effectively. Engage in continuous improvement and departmental initiatives. Participate in cost reduction, service enhancement, and process streamlining efforts. Apply creative problem-solving and adapt treatments as needed. Select appropriate evaluation and treatment modalities, adjusting plans based on re-evaluations. Take full responsibility for patient management from initial contact to discharge, ensuring safety and functional progress. Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in EMR. Provide patient education suited to their understanding and motivation. Participate in committees, projects, and departmental activities as per expertise and performance plans. Build professional relationships with healthcare team members and participate in marketing efforts. Create a culture of respectful communication and accept constructive feedback. Complete non-patient care responsibilities timely, including documentation and schedule adjustments. Contribute to educational efforts and supervise student clinical programs. Maintain productivity standards and demonstrate flexibility to meet patient and department needs. This is a full-time position, 80 hours per pay period, day shift, Monday - Friday, with one weekend day per month required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy. Licensed Physical Therapist in Illinois. BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire. Preferred: Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy.
