Physical Therapist – Outpatient Full‑Time Days Salary: $40.79 – $53.03 per hour (based on experience, internal equity, and union rules if applicable). Hourly rate placed at the end of the range depends on relevant experience and internal equity.

Description A licensed Physical Therapist who adheres to the Code of Ethics, state standards, and NM policies will provide direct patient care, education, and participate in committees and process improvement.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate teamwork, patient‑first mindset, integrity, and excellence in daily work and interactions.

Present a friendly, approachable, professional demeanor and appearance.

Provide accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers; address questions promptly or refer appropriately.

Use effective service‑recovery skills to resolve problems or breakdowns when they occur.

Maintain primary responsibility over patient plan of care through collaboration with PT/PTAs.

Support interdisciplinary teamwork and communicate effectively with diverse staff.

Utilize department resources efficiently and manage work schedule efficiently.

Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and cost‑reduction efforts.

Demonstrate creative problem‑solving, diversity, and appropriate use of treatment modalities and equipment.

Document progress, re‑evaluations, and use of therapy modalities in the EMR per department guidelines.

Provide educational materials and methods tailored to each patient’s level of understanding.

Participate in committees, process, and special projects; serve as a clinical instructor or mentor as expected.

Establish and maintain professional relationships with the healthcare team and participate in internal and external marketing.

Accept constructive feedback and implement timely changes.

Complete non‑patient tasks such as coverage notes, schedule changes, and bonus pay forms within established timelines.

Contribute to department educational efforts and student clinical programs.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.

Licensed Physical Therapist in Illinois.

BLS certification from American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred

Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy.
