We are seeking a

Pharmacy Operations Manager

to oversee non‑clinical pharmacy operations at Walgreens. The role requires a full‑time certified pharmacy technician who manages day‑to‑day workflow, customer experience, staff development, and compliance with state and federal laws.

Responsibilities

Accountable for performing day‑to‑day non‑clinical pharmacy operations, administrative activities; ensure efficient workflow and a positive patient experience; serve as a full‑time certified pharmacy technician. Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers under pharmacist supervision. Lead selection, scheduling, training, coaching, performance management, and disciplinary decisions for pharmacy technicians. Engage customers, resolve complaints, and model best‑practice customer service. Develop strong customer relationships and enhance the overall patient experience. Assist the pharmacist in patient registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, counting, verification, and patient calls. Delegate non‑clinical work, ensure on‑time task completion, and hold team members accountable for efficient workflow. Prepare, file, and maintain reports and records required by company policies and government agencies. Manage core pharmacy workflow, coordinate daily schedule, recommend hourly allocation, and maintain a clean, stocked, and organized pharmacy environment. Exercise independent judgment to ensure compliance and execute all business administrative activities, inventory management tasks, and annual inventory preparation that do not require pharmacist licensure. Drive new technology/process roll‑out, champion change, and engage the team around action planning. Maintain proper record‑keeping and security safeguards for pharmacy equipment and data. Ensure compliance with Good Faith Dispensing policies and maintain asset‑protection techniques. Communicate prescription errors, adhere to company policies and the Continuous Quality Improvement Program, and resolve insurance claim issues. Assist Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service. Manage Community Outreach Portal and assign pharmacists to off‑site immunization clinics and community events.

Qualifications – Basic

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico). Minimum one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous people‑management or leadership experience. Previous work experience with Walgreens with an exceeding expectation on the last performance evaluation.
