Base pay range: $22.50/hr - $31.00/hr. This role is located in Champaign, IL. This position involves non-clinical pharmacy operations, administrative activities, and ensuring an efficient pharmacy workflow and positive patient experience. The role requires a full-time certified pharmacy technician under supervision of a pharmacist and according to company policies, laws, regulations, and business ethics. Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities where allowed by state and federal laws/regulations. Ensure efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience. Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist, supervising pharmacy technicians and pharmacy cashiers within authorized policies, laws, regulations, and business ethics. Lead the selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technician personnel. Manage training, coaching, and performance; make decisions regarding performance management including discipline and termination. Engage customers and patients by greeting them, assisting with products and services, resolving complaints, responding to requests promptly, and modeling customer service best practices. Develop strong relationships with customers and enhance the experience with healthcare services. Assist the pharmacist in patient care delivery including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation and verification of medications (where allowed by law), and patient/physician calls. Support healthcare services including administering vaccines and health screenings as allowed by law. Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy while ensuring tasks are completed on time and workflow is efficient. Prepare and file reports and records as required by the company and government agencies. Manage core pharmacy workflow, daily schedule, and inventory; ensure the pharmacy is clean, stocked, and compliant with policies and laws. Drive technology and process rollouts and oversee recordkeeping and security safeguards in collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager. Ensure compliance with Good Faith Dispensing policies and support diversion monitoring and security with the Pharmacy Manager. Communicate prescription errors and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement programs. Support billing and insurance processes, resolve customer issues, and participate in third-party audits. Assist leadership in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service. Coordinate community outreach and immunization clinic assignments with pharmacists, and build relationships with retail partnerships. Qualifications

Basic: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico) One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital setting Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico) Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations) Preferred: Previous people management/leadership experience; prior Walgreens experience with an Exceeding Expectation rating We will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
