The physician is responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating health problems presented by patients. Essential Functions
Develop positive relationships with colleagues and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, compassion, collaboration, clarity, curiosity, and courage. Strive to exceed customer expectations in service and personalized care. Meet operational, financial, and patient satisfaction goals. Complete required competencies and organizational mandatories timely. Assess and monitor patients' medical needs. Provide quality, cost-effective medical services and ensure consistent case load coverage. Communicate with patients’ families, referring physicians, specialists, and hospital staff regarding care plans, major changes, and discharges. Document services according to standards. Participate in on-call and weekend coverage, value-based programs, and quality initiatives. Engage in Quality Improvement and peer review activities. Contribute to policy development related to medical practice and patient care. Support process improvements, clinical paths, and research activities. Oversee, teach, and mentor fellows, residents, APPs, and students, including collaboration with medical schools. Qualifications
Doctorate degree required MD or DO license in Michigan upon hire DEA registration in Michigan upon hire Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC within 120 days Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA within 120 days
