District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence within each pharmacy, acting as a role model for all, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. The DSP’s responsibilities include supporting the management, oversight, and operation of the pharmacy and pharmacy team across the district. Responsibilities
Live the company purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled; oversee the pharmacy and serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts without overlap Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and coaching the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate care Proactively offer and deliver immunizations and support technicians learning to immunize Support inventory management with a focus on protecting cold chain products Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, complete required trainings and CMEs, and seek opportunities to expand knowledge Support access to care and patient outcomes through pharmacist clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permissible Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, standards, and CVS Health policies; protect patient privacy and maintain a safe workplace Required Qualifications
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list Essential Functions
Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends Ability to complete required trainings within designated timeframe Attention and Focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot between tasks to meet patient and business needs, confirm prescription information and labeling accuracy Customer Service and Team Orientation: proactively help people in a friendly manner and respond to patients’ reactions Communication Skills: interact effectively with patients and colleagues, use active listening Mathematical Reasoning: calculate days supply and quantities for prescriptions Problem Resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose appropriate actions Physical Demands: stay mobile, lift and move items, reach, perform repetitive finger motions, stand for extended periods, and perform detailed visual tasks Ability to lift up to 20 lbs, with varying frequency, and operate with precise hand–eye coordination Strong verbal communication to convey detailed information Other tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager Preferred Qualifications

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $60.00 - $74.00 This base pay range reflects the range for all positions in the job grade. Actual offer depends on experience, education, geography and other factors. This position is eligible for CVS Health bonus incentives in addition to base pay. Benefits
