Our District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) are a critical part of delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and providing genuine care for patients. You will cover pharmacist scheduling gaps within the district under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager (PM) and Rx District Leader (DL), supporting pharmacy teams in stores throughout the district. Responsibilities

Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails at every workstation. Provide patient care by dispensing, counseling, and immunizing where appropriate, in line with our standards for safe practice. Travel within the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled, serving as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts when needed. Assist with day-to-day duties of the Pharmacy Manager when serving as the only or primary pharmacist on duty. Foster positive patient experiences by showing empathy and collaborating with the patient’s total healthcare team; proactively resolve insurance and medication issues. Offer and deliver immunizations where permissible and coach Pharmacy Technicians to learn immunization techniques. Support inventory management across pharmacies, with emphasis on protecting cold chain products. Maintain scheduling flexibility and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic. Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills through required trainings and continuing education; seek opportunities to expand knowledge to better support patients. Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care (e.g., testing and prescribing services where permissible). Understand and comply with applicable federal/state laws, regulations, professional standards, CVS Health policies, and privacy/security requirements. Required Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI). Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list. Essential Functions

Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as needed. Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends. Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe. Attention and Focus: concentrate on tasks; pivot quickly between tasks; ensure prescription information and labeling accuracy for patient safety. Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people in a friendly manner; understand patient reactions and respond appropriately. Communication Skills: use verbal and written communication; practice active listening. Mathematical Reasoning: calculate totals, days’ supply, and package quantities as needed. Problem Resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose appropriate actions. Physical Demands: be mobile and able to remain upright; perform lifting, reaching, typing; handle visual tasks; occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. Express or exchange ideas clearly and receive detailed information through oral communication. Preferred Qualifications
