RN Pre-op/PACU/Endo Room Full Time – Scottsdale Endoscopy Center (USPI) Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient’s condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge. The individual hired for this position will also receive training to work as an OR Circulator in the Endoscopy Suites. Responsibilities

Implement physician orders and provide continuous nursing care for all patients in PACU Assess and monitor patient condition, ensure safety, comfort, and privacy Assist in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as appropriate Provide care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation and prepare for discharge Cross-train to work as an OR Circulator in Endoscopy Suites Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing Active RN license in the state BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs Strong verbal and written communication skills What We Offer
