Overview

RN PACU Part Time – Presbyterian Rust Medical Center (USPI). Presbyterian Rust Medical Center is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge. Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: General Surgery, Dental, Gynecology, Breast Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, Pain Management. Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation with assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for discharge preparation under the supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager. Assist physicians in procedure rooms as needed, including tasks related to conscious sedation and sterile technique where appropriate. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Support a fast-paced ASC environment with attention to quality and efficiency in patient care. Qualifications

Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Minimum of 2 years experience in PACU or ICU. Must have current BLS and ALS. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient. Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation. Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed. Must be an excellent team player with the ability to communicate with staff, patients, and physicians. Benefits
