Eaton’s AER MSD Mission System Division is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - 2nd Shift in Westminster, MD. Relocation assistance provided. The expected annual salary range is $67,500 - $99,000. The Manufacturing Engineer will support manufacturing cells of new and existing products. Responsibilities include managing process documents, tooling and equipment for programs, driving continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma tools, performing ergonomic assessments, and applying standard Manufacturing Engineering rigor for Aerospace Industry product realization. This position is located in Westminster, MD and is a second shift role. Responsibilities
Responsible for Safety, Ergonomics, and Management of Change activity in support of site safety goals. Generate and revise Manufacturing Processes and Manufacturing Work Instructions. Design, maintain tooling and industrial equipment for mature or new production. Drive First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE) improvement. Provide timely support in resolving manufacturing issues. Responsible for Work Cell Design, Integration and Validation. Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and variation in processes, focusing on improving metrics. Support 5S+ and visual management in manufacturing areas. Support capital expenditures—define equipment needed, work with suppliers to obtain quotes, develop ROI. Work with cross-functional teams to address non-conformances and system CARs (Corrective Action Requests). Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, technology, or operations. Minimum of 2 years of experience as Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, or Product Engineer. SolidWorks or other drafting software experience. Authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future. ITAR compliance: U.S. persons defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee). Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing and maintaining large industrial equipment. Experience leading process improvements and continuous improvement projects. Experience in Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA). Knowledge of PFMEAs (FMEA) in Manufacturing. Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and computer skills. Location: Westminster, Maryland. Job code: Manufacturing. Affiliate Sponsor: Eaton.
