Position Summary
Supports inventory accounting with internal factories and third‑party contract manufacturing organizations (CMO) and general accounting for operating expenses and business functions.
Essential Functions Provide strategic financial leadership, coaching, and direction to the supply team to achieve optimal business results and best practices regarding supply accounting.
Coordinate all supply chain period‑end closing activities, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks and resolution of unusual items and issues.
Prepare period‑end closing entries for supply chain inventories, inventory reserves, and COGS.
Ensure inventory reserves are accounted for cross‑company and aligned with future finished goods intercompany sales based on production forecasts and regional sales forecasts.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and internal control documentation for all supply chain inventory accounts within Blackline and SOXHUB systems.
Interface with global accounting partners on intercompany inventory movements.
Annually prepare inventory standards and ensure revaluation impacts are reflected in the P&L.
Review annual standard calculations for costing, profit in stock, transfer prices, and intercompany selling prices.
Maintain ownership of purchasing information records, transfer prices, and intercompany sales prices within SAP.
Provide monthly COGS actuals, tracking, and bridge analyses; support budgeting process for COGS.
Serve as liaison for all internal and external supply chain accounting inquiries and audit processes.
Coordinate with external and internal auditors, ensuring timely completion of audit requests and research of audit issues.
Improve core controllership processes for global supply chain accounting by identifying gaps and establishing process improvements with internal and external teams.
Partner with supply chain management, site operations, global accounting, and FP&A to support business initiatives and provide accounting guidance.
Review and document approvals of general accounting entries related to operating expenses.
Support tax inquiries and reporting quarterly and annually.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
10+ years of accounting experience.
Below 10% domestic travel.
SAP experience preferred.
Competencies / Conduct Ability to interact successfully within finance and cross‑functionally, influencing business leaders.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multi‑task and re‑prioritize as necessary.
Analytical and detail‑oriented.
Performance under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong desire for continuous improvement and willingness to challenge the status quo.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Excel.
