Job Summary

Responsible for direct supervision of Central Processing staff. Responsible for resolution of any operational problems, as well as to support and assist in maintaining the department policies and procedures. Implement new procedures and coordinate in-services in conjunction with the CPD Manager, OR/CPD Educators and Surgical Materials Managers. This job reports to the Manager, Central Sterile Services or Director, Materials Management or Director, Surgical and Ambulatory Services. Essential Functions

Plan, organize and direct the day-to-day work of CPD employees and assist in management of daily departmental operations. Respond to and resolve any front-line operational problems. Coordinate in-services, meetings, training and orientation of new personnel in conjunction with the CPD manager. Initiate and maintain employee Performance Improvement Plans and Attendance interventions, as warranted. Assist in interviewing candidates for position openings and make hiring recommendations. Develop new procedures and update current ones. Accumulate QI statistics and report to manager. Demonstrates the delivery of excellent customer service behaviors in every aspect of the job (100%). Qualifications

Required High School Diploma Preferred One to two years of college 5 years of relevant experience CPD tech experience. Required One year of management experience. Preferred CRT-Registered Central Services Technician, Certified (CRCST) - IAHCSMM International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management Upon Hire required Physical Demands
