The University of Kentucky College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics is seeking a faculty member (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) to serve in General Pediatrics as a Complex Care provider for ages 2 and up, following graduation from the Infant Complex Care Clinic or when referred by another specialist or community pediatrician. Children will be followed throughout childhood and adolescence until transferred into adult care. Preference is for pediatricians with fellowship training or prior experience in Pediatric Complex Care, Palliative Care, or Critical Care, but all pediatricians with a nexus to long-term treatment and coordination of care for children with medical complexity are encouraged to apply. The applicant will: Follow medically complex patients in clinic and provide consultation when admitted to the hospital. Be part of a multidisciplinary team in clinic, including a neonatologist, APP, psychologist, PT, OT, dietician, licensed clinical social worker, and patient navigator. Contribute to development of multidisciplinary clinics (e.g., BPD/home ventilation, Pulmonary Hypertension, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Down Syndrome). Possibly assume a leadership role as Medical Director of the Pediatric Complex Care Program based on experience. Location & Facilities
The clinic is located in a spacious, newly renovated, handicap-accessible facility near Kentucky Children’s Hospital. Other clinics at this site include Infant Complex Care, NICU-related services, Developmental Pediatrics, Palliative Care, and more. Application Process
