Administrative Project Manager - 8300B Hours: Full-Time 35 Hours Work Location: 30-30 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY 11101 The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Infrastructure is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join the Engineering Services – Specifications team. Responsibilities

Evaluate appropriate and cost-effective foundation support systems and bearing capacity of shallow and deep foundations. Perform geotechnical studies and projects, including subsurface investigations, soil/foundation engineering, pile analysis and design, retaining walls, bridges, settlement analysis, lateral earth pressures, and slope stability. Conduct forensic engineering, site investigations, and write reports; provide geotechnical engineering support during construction. Minimum Qualifications

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration, and five years of full-time satisfactory experience in planning, administering, or expediting engineering design and/or construction, with two years in an administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity; or A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and nine years of experience as described above; two years in administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity; or Education and/or experience equivalent to the above. An accredited Master’s degree, law degree, or NYS professional license may substitute for one year of required experience, with the caveat of meeting the two-year supervisory requirement in the first option. Preferred Skills

Minimum six years of experience in geotechnical engineering. Strong supervision experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of infrastructure construction (roadways, sewer, water main). Familiarity with NYC DOT, NYS DOT, NYC DEP specifications, MUTCD, and AASHTO standards. Comprehensive understanding of the NYC infrastructure system and current engineering practices. Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling (preferred). ENV SP credential (preferred) and/or valid driver’s license (required); personal vehicle (optional). Programs
