Salary: $13,892.00 - $15,782.00 per month Location: Sacramento County Department: State Asset Management Engineer, Principal Engineer Job Description
Under the direction of the State Asset Management Engineer (Principal Engineer), the incumbent will coordinate with transportation stakeholders across California to lead the development and implementation of policies, review and refinement of business processes, and execution of asset management initiatives. Responsibilities include: Coordination, development, and implementation of statewide asset management efforts such as required reporting, performance scenario analysis, revenue and financial forecasting, investment strategies, and risk management. Contribution to the development of regulatory reports and support the implementation of the Transportation Asset Management System (TAMS), the State Highway Operation and Protection Program (SHOPP), and other programs related to the State Highway System. Collaboration with federal, state, and local partners to develop and apply practices that improve asset condition and performance in alignment with the California Transportation Asset Management Plan (TAMP) and related analyses and reporting efforts. Qualifications
Valid certificate of registration as a civil engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. One of the following experience paths: One year of transportation engineering experience as a senior level engineer in California state service. One year of supervisory or managerial experience equivalent to a Senior Transportation Planner in California state service and two years of civil engineering work at the Associate Engineer level or higher. Broad and extensive (more than five years) transportation engineering experience, two years of which are equivalent in responsibility to the senior level engineer in the California state service.
