As a Branch Operations Manager (PSM), you will drive performance, optimize efficiency, and lead a high-impact team that keeps industries moving. This role requires strategic vision, operational excellence, and hands-on management of people and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Branch Growth
Oversee Branch Performance and lead all branch functions, including service, parts, rental, and sales support, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Optimize Workflow & Efficiency by streamlining processes, reducing inefficiencies, and enhancing service delivery to maximize branch performance.
Financial & Budget Oversight with P&L management, expense monitoring, pricing oversight, and profitability while maintaining high service standards.
Cross-Department Collaboration by working with Sales, Service, and Corporate teams to align strategies and resolve challenges.
Team Leadership & Development
Build & Mentor high-performing teams by recruiting, training, and developing technicians, support specialists, and branch personnel.
Set Goals & Foster Accountability with clear objectives and performance tracking to sustain continuous improvement.
Lead Training & Development by providing mentorship, technical guidance, and structured learning opportunities.
Customer & Business Impact
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building to ensure satisfaction, resolve concerns, and drive retention.
Strategic Sales & Market Expansion to increase market share, strengthen customer relationships, and boost revenue.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination for partnerships, procurement management, invoicing, and purchase orders.
Safety, Compliance & Operations Excellence
Ensure Safety & Regulatory Compliance by upholding OSHA standards and maintaining a safe work environment.
Facility & Fleet Management to oversee maintenance, repairs, and optimization of facilities, equipment, and fleet.
Monitor & Report Key Metrics with insightful performance reports to drive data-driven improvements.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Education
— High School Diploma or GED (required); preferred 7-10+ years of sales / service management experience in industrial equipment.
Industry Experience
— Extensive background in Material Handling, Parts, or Service Management (highly preferred).
Management & Leadership
— 5+ years of strategic planning, team development, operational efficiency, and management experience, with supervisory experience overseeing 2-6 direct reports and 10-15 technicians (preferred).
Operational & Strategic Oversight
— Ability to manage branch operations, optimize workflows, and drive performance metrics.
Customer-Centric Approach
— Proven ability to engage with customers and enhance satisfaction and retention.
Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge
— Understanding of OSHA regulations and other applicable industry standards (preferred).
Technical Knowledge
— Understanding of forklifts, material handling equipment, and product management.
Leadership & Team Development
— Ability to mentor, coach, and lead high-performing teams with a focus on growth and accountability.
Time Management & Organization
— Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and adapt to changing conditions while maintaining efficiency.
Communication & Relationship Building
— Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
Technical & Technology Proficiency
— Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Windows-based systems, CRM systems, and operational management software.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making
— Strong analytical skills to assess challenges and optimize branch performance.
Safety & Compliance Commitment
— Dedication to safety, workplace compliance, and industry standards.
Driver & Travel
— Valid driver\'s license and travel readiness (20%), including product demonstrations, customer visits, and branch support.
Industry-Specific Experience
— Prior experience in lift truck industry and territory sales preferred.
