Bell is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support operations at the Manufacturing Technology Center – our Manufacturing Future Factory located in North Fort Worth, Texas. This role supports the development, execution, and oversight of products and processes used in the manufacturing environment to ensure robust and cost-effective designs. Primary focus will be machine parts, gears, and composite parts.
You will work closely with Manufacturing personnel and leadership, Regulatory Agencies/Customers and Bell Centers of Excellence to ensure robust, compliant, and cost-effective processes, practices, and procedures. This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely with customers, Bell Centers of Excellence, and subcontractors. Based on the skills gained, you will develop technical abilities associated with manufacturing problems, while gaining experience in leadership and communication.
What you’ll be doing as a Senior Quality Engineer
Execute Quality Engineering techniques, using judgement and ingenuity in making adaptations and modifications, applying Quality Management Systems, PowerBI and various other analytics software. Work directly with Bell Centers of Excellence (COE) and suppliers to establish and maintain a system for Statistical Process Controls focusing on process monitoring and preventative actions. Work directly with engineering for review of design drawings and models before release to ensure quality, inspectability, customer and QMS system requirements are present. Present program quality system health and monitoring to internal and external customers. Facilitate, review, approve, monitor, and advise on quality planning (FMEA, PFMEA, control plans, first article, inspection planning, and corrective and preventative actions, as required). Coordinate and interact with engineering on requirement definition for purposes of inspectability and producibility. Assist and perform Measurement Systems Analysis at COE and at Suppliers. Provide training to personnel or facilitate as required. Generate Quality requirements for product utilizing advanced quality tools. Facilitate and monitor Root Cause/Corrective Action investigations. Facilitate Corrective Action Boards (CAB) as required. Research and help develop and test new inspection technologies. Interact with customers (DCMA, AMCOM, SRD). Conduct, monitor and manage material containment and data analysis for areas of responsibility. Develop and implement operations intelligence into the manufacturing floor. Perform QMS/AS9100 System audits and process reviews. Skills You Bring To this Role

Quality Experience – Broad based exposure and working knowledge of metrology, six sigma tenants, APQP/PPAP (Design and Process FMEA) Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for qualifying inspection equipment and inspection techniques. Inquisitive, analytical, driven with an absolute focus on Safety and Quality. Able to communicate effectively to customers and stakeholders beyond immediate team and supervision; prepare and present Quality metrics, recommended solutions, process improvements, and corrective actions to organizational leadership. Facilitate Corrective Action Boards (CAB), as required. Works through a disciplined approach in initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing tasks to achieve specific goals to specific success criteria. What you need to be successful
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering degree At least 2+ years experience in quality management/quality engineer in a manufacturing environment. Preference for candidates that have at least 2 plus years of experience with quality management in Machine parts, Gears, and Composite parts. Strong Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, compliance standards (AS9100 and/or ISO9001, etc.). Broad based exposure and working knowledge of metrology, Six Sigma tenants, First Article Inspection (FAI) and inspection techniques. This role does Not offer Bell Textron relocation assistance.
