The District Support Pharmacist (DSP) plays a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence within each pharmacy worked by acting as a role model for all, demonstrating genuine care and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. Responsibilities
Live our purpose by helping manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices. Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled and serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts. Support safe prescription fulfillment by directing the pharmacy team to follow workflow procedures and safety guardrails. Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when serving as the primary pharmacist‑on‑duty. Show empathy and genuine care, coaching the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate care. Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize. Manage pharmacy inventory and protect cold‑chain products. Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs while fostering an inclusive team dynamic. Maintain clinical and technical skills through required trainings and CMEs. Deliver pharmacist‑delivered clinical care (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception) where permissible and empower the pharmacy team to provide holistic care. Comply with federal and state laws, professional standards, and CVS Health policies, including controlled substance dispensing and recordkeeping. Required Qualifications
Active pharmacist license in the state where the store is located. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI). Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list. Preferred Qualifications
1‑2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting. Pay Range
$60.00 – $74.00 per hour. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Benefits
