Travel / 13-week assignment Responsibilities
Educate patients about nuclear medicine procedures and address questions Maintain and inspect nuclear medicine equipment for proper functioning; report malfunctions Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications per established protocols Monitor patients for adverse reactions and intervene as necessary Operate imaging equipment to generate diagnostic images per physician orders Document procedure details in patient records to ensure continuity of care Follow hospital safety rules and radiation safety procedures to minimize exposure Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of Nuclear Medicine Technologist practice Qualifications
One year's experience as a Nuclear Medicine Tech Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiography license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred qualifications
Current ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Required essential skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions; PC skills Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push/pull, and bend Ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of personnel Technical/motor skills to handle procedures and equipment Mental ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle irregular schedules Visual acuity and effective communication abilities Benefits
