Overview
Position: Adjunct Faculty, Certified Nursing Aide CTE-CE (Part-Time, Regular). Location: LSC-Tomball. Job ID: 43428. This is a part-time, semester-by-semester adjunct teaching position within the Continuing Education program.
Responsibilities
Teach Continuing Education courses in the Certified Nursing Aide Program.
Develop and use a course syllabus following institutional guidelines.
Instruct students in lecture, on-site lab, and off-site clinical facilities; relate theory to practice for residents of long-term care facilities in preparation for the state certification examination.
Comply with state requirements established by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services (TDHHS) and Lone Star College program expectations.
Conduct ongoing student evaluations and provide feedback; administer tests; measure progress; communicate progress in a timely manner.
Submit required college reports and forms; maintain office hours and accessible communication; maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensed in Texas; at least two years of nursing experience; completed course of teaching adult students, or adult teaching experience, or experience supervising Nurse Aids.
Preferred: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Healthcare or health-related field; previous charge nurse experience or long-term care experience.
Work Schedule & Conditions
Hours vary with class times; instructors must meet scheduled classes and be available outside of instruction.
Equipment: PC workstation, standard office equipment; climate-controlled office; minimal safety hazards.
Salary & Benefits Salary: $55.44 per contact hour. Benefits include tuition waiver, retirement plan, professional development opportunities, and more.
