The position is described as a full-time role involving supervision of pharmacy technicians and technicians-in-training, under the oversight of a pharmacist. Responsibilities

Accountable for day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities where allowed by state and federal laws/regulations; ensure efficient workflow and positive patient experience. Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions; supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy cashiers within approved policies, laws, regulations and business ethics. Lead selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technician personnel; provide training, coaching, and performance management; make decisions regarding discipline and termination. Engage customers and patients, greet and assist with products and services, resolve complaints, respond to requests, and answer non-clinical questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Develop strong customer relationships by anticipating needs and offering services to improve the overall experience; support enhanced healthcare services within the pharmacy. Assist the pharmacist in patient care activities including registration, prescription data entry, preparation and verification of medications, and limited non-clinical interactions with patients and physicians where allowed by law; support healthcare service offerings such as vaccines and health screenings where permitted. Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work, ensure on-time task completion, and maintain efficient workflow in accordance with policy and legal requirements. Prepare and file reports and records as required by company and government agencies; manage core pharmacy workflow and daily schedule; ensure proper inventory management and a clean, stocked environment. Support recordkeeping, security safeguards, and compliance with Good Faith Dispensing policies under pharmacist oversight. Monitor insurance claims processing, resolve issues, and participate in third-party audits; assist in improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service. Coordinate community outreach and immunization activities, and build relationships with retail partners. People & Performance Management

Lead performance management of technicians, including discipline and termination decisions; ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements; manage attendance and timeliness; drive engagement and improvement through action planning. Oversee technician hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling; ensure timely training completion and adherence to company policies. Identify knowledge gaps among team members and support training through hands-on coaching and learning modules. Monitor licensures, registrations and certifications; ensure active status and compliance with regulatory requirements; utilize verification resources to document licensure status. Ensure proper procedures for selection, recruitment, record retention, and training as required by policy and law. Training & Personal Development

Maintain PTCB certification and any required state certifications/registrations. Enhance knowledge of pharmacy and healthcare; pursue ongoing certifications and training as required by the company. Engage in professional development via performance feedback and coaching from leadership. Communication

Maintain effective communication with the pharmacy team and relay messages from support channels; participate in store/pharmacy meetings and check-ins with the Store Manager. Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico). One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital settings. Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking (except in Puerto Rico). Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications

Previous people management/leadership experience. Previous Walgreens experience with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation.
