Patient Coordinator – Group Practice (SDM Clinical Affairs)

Responsibilities
Coordinate patient appointments, update patient information, collect payments, bill inquiries, and answer patient calls.
Act as primary point of contact for patients, reviewing scheduling opportunities and maintaining the patient waitlist.
Perform patient check‑in duties, verify eligibility, accept payment, and notify provider of arrival; perform check‑out duties, collect outstanding balance, and reconcile daily payment transactions.
Support clinic operations, including preparation of patient follow‑up letters and collection bag to cashier at end of day.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
1–3 years of customer service experience in a healthcare or dental practice setting.
Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and time‑management skills.
Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, manage competing demands, and adapt to changes in work environment.
Proficiency in electronic health record and billing software preferred.
