Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 4012) at GameStop. Join the team to support store operations and guest service excellence under the guidance of the Store Manager. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions and concerns promptly and courteously, assist with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, and foster a sales culture through professional conduct and product knowledge. Support the total shopping environment, visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that drive sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases and returns accurately using the POS system; handle transactions, provide receipts, and ensure top-notch service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop guest benefits such as new title reservations, trade-in programs, and loyalty programs. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations, training store associates, and ensuring adherence to company policies and guidelines. Monitor associate performance, provide timely feedback, and address performance issues as directed. Provide recognition and maintain records of performance; document feedback in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, job training, and compliance training are completed prior to shifts; ensure associates understand policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocols, and ethics. Schedule associates to meet staffing needs, monitor breaks and meals, and maintain a high level of guest service. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and ensure accurate timekeeping and compensation for all hours worked. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per company guidelines; ensure store fixtures and equipment are in proper working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and daily shipping as required. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices; communicate any concerns to the Store Manager. Support the store team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties. Perform inventory counts, restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized on the sales floor. Balance and reconcile daily POS totals; complete closeout paperwork and deposits according to guidelines. Verify shipments, record discrepancies, and conduct inventories; communicate issues to the Store Manager or District Manager. Process defectives/ recalls and stock pulls accurately with proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain safety awareness; address hazardous situations promptly and report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records/files and keep manuals up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Open and close procedures as required. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. Retail management experience preferred (minimum 6 months). Retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred (minimum 2 years). Video game knowledge preferred. Key Skills and Abilities

Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Ability to provide genuine and individualized guest assistance. Strong verbal and written communication; English proficiency; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and both independently and as part of a team. Reliable, trustworthy, with good judgment; able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Ability to operate POS and basic math; attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, move, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
