Credit Solutions (CS) Sales team focused on serving the largest, most strategic Financial Institutions across the Americas. You’ll work closely with Pre‑Sales Engineering experts. Job Overview:
This senior‑level role is for a proven sales leader with deep financial markets expertise and a track record of exceeding million‑plus quotas. As a Senior Sales Specialist you will own and grow relationships with executive‑level stakeholders at the world’s largest banks, insurers, and asset managers. Your mandate is to drive revenue growth by deeply understanding client challenges, positioning S&P Global’s Credit Solutions as essential, and expanding strategic footprint across complex accounts. Compensation & Benefits (US Candidates Only)
Base salary range: $80k – $120k (geographic and experience adjustments apply). Eligible for a sales commission plan. Additional benefits include health & wellness, flexible downtime, continuous learning, and competitive retirement & financial wellness programs. Key Responsibilities
Consistently exceed revenue targets by identifying, developing, and closing new business and expansion opportunities within top‑tier Financial Institutions. Navigate and manage complex sales cycles across multiple stakeholders and decision‑makers, including C‑suite and senior credit executives. Leverage deep financial market understanding to run high‑impact, diagnostic client conversations. Partner across the organization—including Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and the Chief Client Office—to deliver coordinated, high‑touch client experiences. Maintain impeccable pipeline hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and strategic account planning within CRM. Provide client‑conversation feedback to shape product strategy and innovation. Act as an internal and external credit solutions thought leader, staying ahead of market trends. Qualifications
7+ years of enterprise sales with a strong record of outperforming quotas—ideally in credit analytics, financial data, risk solutions, or capital markets. Deep understanding of financial markets, credit risk workflows, and decision‑making within large financial institutions. Proven ability to establish, nurture, and expand relationships at the senior executive level. Consultative, client‑first approach rooted in problem‑solving and solution alignment. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills—confident in boardroom and virtual settings. Highly collaborative and able to thrive in a matrixed, fast‑paced environment. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce). Work Environment
