Job Summary Georgia Gwinnett College is accepting applications for part-time faculty positions in (Art) in the School of Liberal Arts for the academic year (2025-2026). The posting remains active for AY25-26 hiring (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Part-Time faculty positions are semester-based and report to the Department Chair. Courses may be delivered face-to-face, online, hybrid, or blended. These positions are on an as-needed basis and require extra time outside of class for written feedback and one-on-one meetings with students. Classes are offered in Fall, Spring, Summer; schedules include morning, afternoon, evening, and some weekends.
Responsibilities
Develop course curricula, including the syllabus, lesson plans, and graded assignments, in accordance with the requirements of the upper division program and in consultation with the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.
Review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials.
Evaluate students to measure progress toward institutional and course goals.
Submit required paperwork related to instruction in a timely and accurate manner.
Required Qualifications A minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Terminal degree in the teaching discipline
1 year of college-level teaching
Sustained professional engagement that demonstrates relevance and currency in the field of teaching
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement, and service to the college and community. GGC values innovative teaching, advising, and mentoring (advising and mentoring are expected of all faculty).
