Job Summary Georgia Gwinnett College is now accepting applications for part-time faculty positions in (Art) in the School of Liberal Arts for the academic year 2025-2026. The posting will remain active for AY25-26 hiring (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Part‑time faculty positions are semester‑based and report directly to the Department Chair. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as face‑to‑face, online, hybrid, and/or blended formats. These positions are on an as‑needed basis and require additional time outside of class to provide written feedback to students and to meet individually with students throughout the semester. Part‑time faculty may teach in the fall, spring, and/or summer semesters. Classes at Georgia Gwinnett College are offered morning, afternoon, and evening, including weekends.
Responsibilities
Developing course curricula, including the syllabus, lesson plans, and graded assignments, in accordance with the requirements of the upper‑division program and in consultation with the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.
Reviewing, evaluating, and recommending student learning materials.
Evaluating students to measure their progress in achieving institutional and course goals.
Timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Required Qualifications A minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Terminal degree in the teaching discipline.
1‑year college‑level teaching experience.
Sustained professional engagement that demonstrates relevance and currency in the field of teaching.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement, and service to the college and community. GGC values innovative teaching, advising, and mentoring; advising and mentoring are expected of all faculty.
Conditions of Employment Hiring is contingent upon eligibility to work in the United States and proof of eligibility will be required upon acceptance of an employment offer. Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a background investigation, including a criminal background check. Eligibility is determined by GGC at its sole discretion and may include a satisfactory credit check. Applicants may be subject to a pre‑employment drug test.
