As an Independent Living Coach, you’ll work 1-on-1 with a participant, helping them live life to the fullest by supporting their goals in independence, social connection, daily living, and communication. Whether you''re in the community or onsite at The League, your day will be filled with purpose—and progress you can see. What You’ll Do
Build trust and relationships with participants and families using a person-centered approach Support community-based activities that build pre-vocational, social, and daily living skills Implement behavior support and communication strategies aligned with the participant’s PCP Provide support with hygiene, mobility, and other personal needs as necessary Track goals and outcomes using documentation tools like ICare Be a coach, advocate, cheerleader, and companion—all in one You’re a Great Fit If You
Are at least 18 years old Have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle Can work independently and as part of a team Have experience supporting people with developmental/behavioral disabilities (1 year preferred) Possess strong communication skills and basic computer literacy (MS Word, Outlook) Are passionate about inclusion, equality, and personal growth Bonus Points
High school diploma or GED (preferred) AA or college experience in a related field (a plus) Previous experience in vocational habilitation, life skills training, or behavioral supports Must Be Willing To
Drive participants using your own vehicle or a League-provided vehicle Assist with mobility or transportation training when needed Be flexible, open-minded, and solutions-focused Why Join The League?
