Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, business computer systems, or similar

At least two years of experience in a lead technical role with increasing responsibilities

Expertise in data modeling, interpreting insights from datasets, and presenting narratives and visualizations

Proficiency in Qlik Cloud or Qlik Sense Enterprise (including data architecture with load scripts), Power BI, Power Query, and Power BI data modeling

Strong SQL skills and competence in analytical languages such as Python; solid understanding of databases

Knowledge of Data Warehouse principles and data modeling concepts/methodologies

Experience managing a team and/or projects to improve performance and achieve goals

Attention to detail, strong data analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities

Organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with diverse stakeholders

Position Summary The Analytics Engineer, under the direction of the IT Senior Manager for Applications and Data, delivers data-driven solutions to support the Facilities Management Division. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders on data projects, maintaining dashboards and data models, managing data sources, and partnering with IT leadership to establish data governance protocols. The role leads analytics initiatives to provide actionable insights for decision-making and process improvement, with the long-term objective of developing a comprehensive data team.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Expertise in data management and data governance

Advanced knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools (Qlik Cloud and Power BI)

Data analytics and data architecture concepts

Experience with low-code/no-code solutions (e.g., SmartSheet, Microsoft Power Apps)

Experience writing SQL queries

Experience connecting to web service APIs

Duties/Responsibilities Develop and Maintain Analytic Dashboards and Custom Data Models

Design and produce analytics and visualization deliverables using Qlik, Power BI, and other tools as required

Perform advanced analysis of large datasets to drive insights

Develop analytics resources to improve workflow, transparency, accountability, and performance

Design and develop analytics projects and forecasting initiatives to support leadership

Preprocess and perform exploratory data analysis on structured and unstructured data

Utilize external data sources to augment internal information

Define, build, use, and maintain predictive models

Ensure data usage in reports and queries is accurate

Data Source Management, Data Warehouse, and Data Validation

Define, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows from disparate sources to create a comprehensive FMD data catalog

Monitor data pipelines to ensure platform stability and performance

Perform end-to-end data validation for accuracy

Assist with creating/maintaining a reliable Data Warehouse focused on scalability and performance

FMD Business Analytics Strategy

Coordinate with IT and FMD leadership to develop and implement an enterprise analytics strategy

Maintain and enhance reporting/dashboard platforms in Qlik Cloud

Oversee creation of consistent dashboards and interactive analytics tools

Research strategies for predictive analytics and AI within FMD

Create and maintain a data dictionary and metadata

Work with stakeholders to provide data consultation and training to improve data literacy

Customer Service and Stakeholder Engagement

Engage with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights

Maintain strong relationships and incorporate feedback into analytics processes

Foster collaboration and share best practices

Lead analytics initiatives to enhance workflow, performance, and data-driven decision-making

Communicate project updates and findings effectively to stakeholders
