Join Walmart/VIZIO and take your career to the next level. VIZIO’s Information Technology team is seeking a Specialist Technician to join their growing team. The Specialist Technician will report to the Technology Support II and provide hands-on support to employees in their local office and company-wide via remote assistance. What you will do
Provide onboarding support for new employees, including participation in weekly new hire orientation meetings. Collaborate with other Support Services Teams (SSTs) to provide rotational weekend support and communicate effectively via Email, MS Teams, and Slack. Provision PC, Mac, and Linux-based hardware for new employees. Provide L1/L2 support to users locally and company-wide via Email, Chat, or Phone, ensuring adherence to SLAs, policies, and SOPs. Assist Infrastructure and Client Services teams with testing and deploying new hardware, software, and operating systems. Support Video Conferencing Systems and collaborate with senior team members and leadership on hardware requirements to maximize productivity. Oversee inventory and stocking levels for IT assets at the local office and coordinate with the local office manager for building access and maintenance of IT-managed equipment. Occasional travel to other offices in the U.S. may be required to support nationwide operations. Handle other tasks as assigned by team leadership to maintain a dynamic and engaging work environment. What you will bring
High School Diploma (minimum). Advanced understanding of Windows and macOS versions with 1+ years of OS support experience. 1+ years of related work experience. Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Hard-working team player with a "no task is too small" attitude. Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Ability to work with software developers when needed, providing correct solutions and root-cause analysis. At least 1 year of experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow). At least 1 year of experience with Office 365 Admin Center. Beginning to intermediate knowledge of Command Prompt, PowerShell, and Terminal. Solid foundation in Windows and macOS imaging. Knowledge of self-service software installation tools (e.g., Company Portal, Manage Engine). Understanding of Active Directory tools. Benefits and eligibility
