Overview

VIZIO’s Information Technology team is seeking a Technology Support II to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with cutting edge technology that helps facilitate productivity, support, and services to VIZIO. The Technology Support II will report to the Vice President, Information Security & IT Operations and will help lead projects, supervise employees within the Technology Support, and support other teams as needed. Additionally, this role will provide support to employees in their local office and company-wide employees via remote assistance. Base pay

$60,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr What you'll do

Supervise the Technology Support Team within VIZIO to meet SLAs, procedures, and processes to drive effective availability for the Help Desk. Collaborate with embedded software and services development teams to ensure successful operations & project delivery and alignment with organizational goals. Oversee and manage services operations, ensuring efficient processes and practices are in place. Lead project management efforts, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of IT projects, ensuring timely completion within time frames and budgets. Facilitate issue resolution for elevated support by coordinating efforts across teams, ensuring timely responses to escalated concerns. Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, aligning project goals and expectations. Develop growth paths for Specialists in the Technology Support team and set goals with the Technology Support Management team. Assign tasks and projects to the Technology Support Team; manage on-call procedures to ensure weekend coverage. Evaluate hardware with the Technology Support Management team to maximize productivity; oversee IT assets inventory and stocking at each location. Partner with HR to ensure new hire procurement meets SLAs; provide support for Video Conferencing Systems. Direct and coordinate the work of IT teams across disciplines (application development, operations, networking, cybersecurity) to achieve project objectives. Partner with the Information Security team to deploy and maintain new technologies (e.g., Netskope, GlobalProtect, antivirus). Assist Infrastructure and Client Services in deploying new technologies (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf). Serve as a liaison between IT teams and Engineering executive management, communicating project status, challenges, and resolutions. Learn, support, and fill in for other team members as required. Maintain high morale and motivate the team to perform at a high level; guide staff and adhere to IT Operations policies. Other tasks as assigned by Technology Support Management. What you will bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in embedded software and services development. Proven project management experience with a track record of successful delivery across IT teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with executives and stakeholders at all levels. Strong problem-solving skills with experience in issue resolution and crisis management. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools is preferred. Deep understanding of macOS with at least 3 years of experience supporting the OS and extensive experience with Windows 10 (minimum 3 years). 5+ years of related work experience. Self-starter, thrives in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment; team player with a “no task is too small” attitude. Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users and work with software developers to provide correct solutions and root-cause analyses. Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, or similar ticking systems (3+ years). Experience with Office 365 Admin Center (3+ years). Exposure to Microsoft PowerShell (Automation) and macOS Terminal; solid foundation of Windows imaging (.wim, ghost, etc.); exposure to software packaging; understanding of Active Directory tools.
