We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist III to join our Orthodontic team. In this role, you will oversee the accurate and timely processing of orthodontic insurance claims, payments, and outstanding balances. This includes multi-state Medicaid billing, commercial insurance claim processing, prior authorizations, and patient collections. You’ll also collaborate closely with the Accounting team to support accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, proactive, and enjoys repetitive tasks, with strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
Summary Of Essential Job Functions
Read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
Manage aging and denial queues for assigned payer plans of low complexity
Inform supervisor and management of payer issues resulting in reimbursement delays
Submit and follow up on appeals and grievances in a timely manner
Respond to patient and insurance inquiries and update accounts as necessary
Manage insurance correspondence
Participate in ongoing training for compliance, payer information, and insurance benefits to augment knowledge of procedures, regulations, and products
Comply with performance standards and departmental goals
Maintain HIPAA compliance

Compensation and Schedule
Salary: $19 – $22 per hour depending on experience
Schedule: Hybrid role. Training requires Monday-Friday in-office presence, after which the position shifts to a flexible hybrid schedule as you grow into the role.
