Accounts Receivable Specialist (Orthodontics)

The Opportunity We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist III to join our Orthodontic team. In this role, you will oversee the accurate and timely processing of orthodontic insurance claims, payments, and outstanding balances. This includes multi‑state Medicaid billing, commercial insurance claim processing, prior authorizations, and patient collections. You’ll also collaborate closely with the Accounting team to support accurate financial reporting.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) accurately.
Manage aging and denial queues for all assigned payer plans of low complexity.
Inform supervisor and management of payer issues that delay reimbursements.
Submit and follow up on appeals and grievances in a timely manner.
Respond to patient and insurance inquiries and update accounts as necessary.
Maintain insurance correspondence and compliance with performance standards.
Comply with HIPAA regulations.

Experience: 1+ years of Accounts Receivable experience in the dental field.
Job Type: Full‑time.
Compensation and Schedule
Salary: $19,000–$22,000 depending on experience.
Schedule: Hybrid role. Training requires Monday–Friday in‑office presence; after that the position shifts to a flexible hybrid schedule.
