The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist III to join our Orthodontic team. In this role, you will oversee the accurate and timely processing of orthodontic insurance claims, payments, and outstanding balances. This includes multi-state Medicaid billing, commercial insurance claim processing, prior authorizations, and patient collections. You’ll also collaborate closely with the Accounting team to support accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, proactive, and enjoys repetitive tasks, with strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Responsible for correctly reading and interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
Manage both aging and denial queues for all assigned payer plans of low complexity
Responsible for keeping supervisor and management informed of payer issues resulting in any delay of reimbursements
Timely submission and follow-up of appeals and grievances
Respond to patient and insurance inquiries in a timely manner and update accounts as necessary
Manage insurance correspondence
Participates in ongoing training for compliance, payer information, and insurance benefits to augment knowledge of procedures, regulations, and products
Comply with performance standards and departmental goals
Maintains HIPAA compliance

Compensation and Schedule
Salary:
$19-$22 depending on experience
Schedule:
Hybrid role. Training requires Monday-Friday in-office presence, after which the position shifts to a flexible hybrid schedule as you grow into the role.
