Responsibilities

Work with minimal supervision to support the Store Manager in all facets of store operations. Develop and promote a sales culture by creating individualized and complete solutions for every guest and providing outstanding guest service experiences. Ensure products are easy to see and buy, build sales by sharing product and gaming knowledge with guests, maintain a clean, organized store environment, and grow guest loyalty and repeat business. Supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns promptly and courteously, inform guests of promotions, and acknowledge guests during every interaction. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system, including handling payments, receipts, and bagging merchandise. Respond to guest inquiries by phone or in person; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-ins, Pro Rewards). Assist with setting guest service expectations and training for store associates; ensure adherence to company/store policies and guidelines. Provide feedback and recognition to associates; document performance notes in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding and training for associates prior to opening or closing shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethics. Schedule associates to follow guidelines, manage breaks, and maintain optimal staffing for guest service. Approve payroll and manage time off requests; verify accurate compensation for time worked. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, merchandising, and equipment operation per company guidelines. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and ensure daily shipping. Protect company assets via inventory control and loss prevention practices; monitor safety and security during closures and shifts. Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete required administrative duties. Conduct stock counts, restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized on the floor. Reconcile daily transaction totals in the POS system; complete closeout paperwork and deposits as required. Verify shipments, record discrepancies, and conduct inventories; communicate issues to the Store Manager or District Manager. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing. Maintain awareness of safety and promptly address hazards; report injuries per guidelines. Keep store records/files organized and up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders when the Store Manager is unavailable. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and follow opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Key Skills and Abilities

Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine assistance to every guest during every visit. Strong verbal and written communication; English required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and both independently and as part of a team. Meet performance expectations for attendance, appearance, safety, and respectful workplace. Operate the POS system and perform basic math and ordering tasks. Complete required paperwork accurately; follow written or verbal instructions. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Handle pressure, problem solve, and maintain guest interactions; be reliable and trustworthy. Able to work standing and moving for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs as needed. Understanding of military ranks and insignia may be required for locations on military bases. Compensation and Employment Details
