Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mechanics, fluids and related mechanical engineering subjects. Evaluate and report on the achievement of EAC-ABET Student Learning Outcomes, Program Objectives and Curriculum. Serve on school, college and university committees; maintain regular office hours. Earned doctorate from an institution with an EAC-ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering program. Demonstrated expertise in mechanics, fluid dynamics and other related mechanical engineering courses with the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in those areas. Distinguished record in teaching, scholarship and service with demonstrated interest in an area of research that aligns with the WIU School of Engineering and Technology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with multiple constituencies and across diverse engineering disciplines. Must be a US Citizen or a permanent resident of the US. Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in ABET accreditation assessment, evaluation and reporting processes. Professional Engineering registration and experience relevant to the mechanical engineering disciplines included in WIU Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree (Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Robotics, Automation, etc.). Proficiency with engineering curriculum and course development. Experience with student recruitment and retention. Record of involvement in professional societies and community relations. Experience in other engineering disciplines such as manufacturing, welding, etc. For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). Unless otherwise stated, the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment. About the School

The School of Engineering and Technology represents disciplines that utilize technology to effect innovation and efficiencies in the applied creation of value-added products and related processes in STEM education. Programs are offered at the Quad Cities Campus in Moline, IL, Macomb campus, and other related locations. The school serves approximately 250 undergraduate majors and 70 graduate students across its programs.
