The Department of Counselor Education, College Student Personnel, and Social Work invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track assistant professor position in its College Student Personnel Program. The successful candidate will teach, recruit and advise students, develop and nurture relationships with partner institutions, and perform other professional duties to support the curriculum. The candidate is also expected to conduct scholarly/professional activities and participate in departmental, university, and community service. Responsibilities

Teach courses in the College Student Personnel Program, including those within the Higher Education Leadership track. Recruit and advise students; develop and maintain partnerships with partner institutions. Engage in scholarly/professional duties and perform departmental, university, and community service. Contribute to the College Student Personnel curriculum through ongoing teaching and service activities. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

A doctoral degree (Ph.D./Ed.D.) in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a closely related discipline with a minimum of five years of full-time professional higher education work experience. A record of teaching, research, scholarship, and professional activities to support tenure-track requirements. Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence and student-centered learning. Ability to teach a variety of student affairs and higher education leadership courses, including those grounded in a theory-to-practice approach. Demonstrated evidence of effective communication and collaboration with campus and community partners. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with higher education budgets, finance, fundraising, and/or resource management. Experience working in or with community colleges. Experience with recruiting, advising, and mentoring graduate students. Familiarity with CAS, ACPA/NASPA competencies, or other relevant accreditation or professional standards. Engagement with professional associations (e.g. NASPA, ACPA, ASHE), including conference presentations or leadership. Experience integrating field-based learning, supervision, or experiential education into the curriculum. Experience teaching online, both synchronously and asynchronously. For a degree to be considered, it must be conferred from a regionally accredited degree-granting institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body). Unless otherwise stated, the degree must be conferred at the time of appointment. Appointment & Benefits

RANK & SALARY: 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor. $7,459 per month. Benefits include Health Insurance plans, Dental Insurance, Vision Plan, Life Insurance, AD&D, Optional Long-Term Disability, Flex Spending Accounts, 403(b) and 457(b) plans. Eligible employees may participate in the State Universities Retirement System (SURS).
