What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Research and identify potential school and district partners through outreach efforts
Qualify leads by understanding their needs and set up appointments for Account Managers
Build and maintain relationships with educators and administrators to promote Scholastic Reading Events
Manage sales pipeline by accurately tracking interactions and progress towards goals in the CRM system
Collaborate with the sales team to refine strategies and improve lead generation efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales
Proficiency with MS Office software and experience with Sales Automation or Customer Relationship Management tools
Strong oral and written communication skills, including oral presentation skills
Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across functions and with customers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
Proven leadership ability and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
Ability to execute a vision while managing multiple priorities
Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
Creativity and innovation in enhancing products, services, and operations
