Danfoss, a global leader in Climate Solutions, is looking for an Account Manager to join our Industrial Refrigeration team — someone with a growth mindset and a keen focus on winning. This remote role supports the United States or Canada, with relocation not being considered. The Impact You\'ll Make: You will grow sales of Industrial Refrigeration products and solutions, develop and strengthen relationships, and design and drive account plans with leading OEMs, contractors, and consultants. You will collaborate with the sales team and internal stakeholders to drive sustainable long-term growth, and provide a high-level overview of technology and applications for our product lines while engaging with influential end users to pull in contractor business. CO2 or Ammonia-based system design is an asset. What You’ll Be Doing
Proactively seek and assess opportunities with OEMs and contractors in the region. Document opportunities in CRM, design and drive account plans, and coordinate initiatives executed directly or by a rep network where applicable. Develop follow-up activities to ensure the success of account plans. Provide high knowledge of refrigeration systems to quote Danfoss industrial refrigeration portfolio for ammonia and CO2 applications. Prepare valve take-off schedules, size valves and components, and offer competitive solutions. Negotiate with a focus on value selling to secure business opportunities. Inquire with end users regarding upcoming expansions or new facilities. Take ownership in conflict resolution to ensure customer satisfaction. Support regional consulting engineers, contractors, or end-users for projects purchased outside the region. Provide technical training to installers and other training for OEMs and decision-makers to see the value in Danfoss. Actively participate in local industry associations and volunteer for positions that increase Danfoss visibility. Travel up to 50%. What We\'re Looking For
BA or BS in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) with a business-oriented mindset. Minimum three years of industry-related experience in sales or supporting sales in industrial refrigeration. Knowledge of system controls and power is a plus. In-depth knowledge of the industrial refrigeration market, including products, major customers, competitors, and equipment suppliers. Proficiency with ERP systems; SAP preferred. Strong business acumen to assess customer challenges and future needs. Teamwork with internal and external parties such as rep networks. Ability to write reports and present information to internal and external stakeholders. Driven, organized, and able to prioritize; professional and persuasive communication skills. Self-motivated and able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Salary and Benefits
Base salary range: $115,000 to $130,000. This position includes an annual bonus target and a car allowance. The base salary range is a component of the total compensation package and may vary by location, experience, and performance.
