The Fixed Assets and Grants General Accountant serves as the primary accountant for fixed asset recording, tracking, and reconciliation. Responsibilities include recording fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions, preparing audit schedules, tracking expenditures versus budgets, and supporting grant submissions. The role also involves preparing financial reports and maintaining relevant databases. Customer Focus:
Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Healing Environment principles, ensuring safety, dignity, respect, well-being, and healthy relationships. Exposure Control Classification:
Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is not reasonably anticipated. Normal work routine does not involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Key Responsibilities:
Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions; assist with monthly reconciliations and journal entries. Prepare audit schedules and support audits related to fixed assets. Monitor fixed asset expenditures against budgets and management approvals. Generate and distribute monthly financial grant summaries to relevant stakeholders. Gather data for grant submissions and maintain databases such as grants.gov and NYS Financial System. Perform other duties as assigned. Key Requirements:
Minimum two years of experience in accounting or financial reporting. Preferred experience with fixed assets and healthcare finance. Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Proficiency with computer and spreadsheet applications. Preferred experience with Microsoft Office suite. Ability to provide services based on the specific needs of various population groups.
