Our client, a manufacturing company located in the Greater Denver, Colorado, area is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant responsible for Fixed Asset
and Inventory Management . POSITION DESCRIPTION: Manage financial process, compliance
and
reporting of both mobile and immobile fixed asset portfolio and inventory of a company with $700M in revenue. Record costs of newly acquired assets, tracking, depreciation
and
disposition of assets, financial inventory procedures, internal controls and reporting, and process improvements. Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for recording and managing fixed assets. Recommend accounting policy updates related to fixed assets. Develop/maintain monitoring process of fixed assets including
physical
existence, fair market value
and
condition. Monthly reporting of fixed assets by category, depreciation reasonableness and additions/deletions. Investigate potential obsolescence of fixed assets. Monitor and ensure all “construction in progress” CIP projects are viable with project managers. Maintain and provide inventory analysis for month end reporting. Monitor all inventory manual accounts for timely resolutions of old items. Manage inventory provision accounting/analysis. Align policies & procedures with Corporate standards. Conduct and manage periodic asset verification, recommend dispositions. Conduct analysis of fixed asset and inventory. Prepare audit schedules. Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison with capital budget and management authorizations. QUALIFICATIONS: BS/BA degree in business, finance or accounting, CPA or MA a plus 5+ years combined
in
financial reporting, public accounting or industry accounting. Knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS SOX or internal controls SAP (or similar association management databases) Fixed asset processes and reporting Above average Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to work and communicate well with all levels and disciplines Ability to motivate others to produce quality results within tight
time frames Assertiveness & Initiative Flexible under pressure, accept criticism, manage competing demands SALARY: $90k +/- plus 10% bonus, comprehensive benefits package, 401k
