Staff Accountant with business analysis capabilities

to join our Finance team. This hybrid role blends traditional accounting responsibilities with data-driven analysis to support strategic decision-making across the business. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations, while also leveraging data to uncover trends, drive efficiency, and support forecasting. Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with business analysis capabilities to join our Finance team. This hybrid role blends traditional accounting responsibilities with data-driven analysis to support strategic decision-making across the business. Responsibilities

Accounting Duties (70%) Prepare journal entries, maintain general ledger, and assist with month-end close. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and accruals. Support preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages. Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies (GAAP). Business Analysis Duties (30%) Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and performance metrics. Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reports for cross-functional teams. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes. Partner with business units to provide insight into financial and operational performance. Evaluate cost structures, margin performance, and profitability by product, customer, or business line. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or relevant work experience. 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles. Advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus. Experience with QuickBooks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex financial data in a clear, actionable way. Self-starter with high attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and performance metrics preferred. Ability to evaluate cost structures, margin performance, and profitability by product, customer, or business line preferred. Why Join Us
