Sunrise Senior Living The Concierge is often the initial contact and first impression that many people have of Sunrise Senior Living. The Concierge is responsible for greeting potential residents, families, and visitors, managing both external and internal calls, and taking and communicating messages. The Concierge provides an overview of community information to those inquiries in support of the Director of Sales (DOS) and Executive Director (ED). Responsible for assisting the Business Office Coordinator (BOC)/HR Designee in the community recruitment process, computer data entry, and other assigned general administrative duties as well as monitoring the Bistro area for refreshments, cleanliness, and music and ensuring a pleasant atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Customer Service: Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents; extend a warm welcome; offer beverages; ensure community safety protocols are in place.

Respond to inquiries and coordinate meetings with prospective residents, families, or visitors; minimize wait times.

Greet potential candidates and direct them to apply online or capture candidate information into the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to launch recruitment.

Handle incoming calls with a timely, courteous greeting; take complete messages and communicate appropriately.

Provide community overviews to callers and coordinate transfers as needed.

Manage appointments for residents and family members (e.g., hairdresser, transportation).

Send or arrange get-well, sympathy, and memorial communications as appropriate.

Sales and Marketing: Order flowers and name plates for new residents; arrange guest meals for move-in; maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory; assist the DOS with lead tracking and initial inquiry calls; participate in CRM data entry as applicable; perform other administrative duties related to the move-in process.

Front Desk and Bistro Areas: Keep the desk and entry area neat; monitor and maintain Bistro cleanliness, refreshments, and ambiance (coffee, fruit, snacks, music); ensure coverage of front desk when stepping away.

Risk Management: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; promote Risk Management programs; follow PPE, SDS, fire safety, and Lockout Tagout procedures; maintain rosters and schedules for emergencies; monitor high-risk entries and sign-in/out processes.

Administrative: Update lists and logs, prepare meal tickets and tally counts, process payments per internal controls, organize mail and newspapers, post daily menus, and assist with recruitment data entry and office supplies; track paychecks as needed.

Training and Team Success: Contribute to team goals, demonstrate the Team Member Credo, support residents and guests via Principles of Service, participate in engagement activities and training requirements, attend meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.

Core Competencies and Qualifications: Ability to manage multiple priorities; strong written and verbal communication; good organizational and time management skills; accurate record keeping; sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.

Experience and Qualifications: High School degree/GED; proven customer service experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications; if applicable, drivabilities and safety responsibilities for Sunrise vehicles.
