We are seeking a detail-oriented, driven, and strategic
Controller
to join our growing finance team. The
Controller
will be responsible for leading the month-end close process, managing key aspects of payroll, and working directly with the CFO on financial strategy and process improvements. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background and a proven track record in financial leadership. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Travel once a week to main office. Collaborate closely with the CFO to develop and implement financial strategies, controls, and process improvements. Oversee the final payroll process, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely execution. Manage and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity. Ensure financial compliance with GAAP and internal company policies. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering growth and accountability. Work with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation. Act as the key point of contact for financial operations when the CFO is unavailable. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required). Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership or senior accounting role. Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing, and financial reporting. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and partner with senior leadership. Experience managing or overseeing month-end close processes. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel. Why Join Us?
