The NDT Technician will be responsible for conducting and interpreting non-destructive tests on aircraft components and structures using advanced NDT methods. Must hold a Level 2 NDT certification. Responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of parts while maintaining compliance with industry and regulatory standards. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform and interpret non-destructive tests on aerospace components using various NDT techniques, including preparation of parts. Prepare detailed inspection reports and ensure proper documentation, complying with customer, company, and regulatory requirements. Set up and calibrate NDT equipment and conduct tests according to approved procedures. Interpret and evaluate test results, making recommendations based on findings. Review work orders, technical manuals, and blueprints to determine appropriate NDT methods. Provide guidance and training to Level 1 NDT Inspectors. Maintain NDT equipment and conduct system performance checks. Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, and company safety, quality, and environmental policies. Participate in audits, inspections, and corrective actions. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
3 years of related experience or equivalent Current Level 2 NDT certification(s) per NAS 410 or equivalent, or eligibility Proficient in reading technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills Familiarity with ASTM, ASME, NAS standards, FAA, and EASA regulations Ability to work independently and make decisions based on inspection data Good communication skills and team work Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
2-4 years of relevant NDT experience in aerospace FAA Repairman or Inspector Authorization (IA) Additional NDT certifications OTHER:
