Sr. Non-Destructive Testing Technician

SUMMARY: The Sr. NDT Technician will be responsible for conducting and interpreting non-destructive tests on various aircraft components and structures using advanced NDT methods. This individual must hold a Level 3 NDT certification. This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of parts, while maintaining compliance with industry and regulatory standards. Additionally, the role supports daily NDT operations and drives NDT quality compliance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform and interpret non-destructive tests on aerospace components using various NDT techniques, including preparing parts before or after testing according to approved work instructions. Prepare detailed inspection reports and ensure proper documentation of all findings, complying with customer, company, and regulatory requirements. Set up and calibrate NDT equipment and conduct tests following approved procedures and specifications. Interpret and evaluate test results based on applicable standards, codes, and specifications; make recommendations accordingly. Develop and write NDT procedures aligned with company standards, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices. Conduct internal reviews to ensure NDT operational quality and compliance. Review work orders, technical manuals, and blueprints to determine suitable NDT methods and inspection criteria. Provide technical guidance and training to Level 1 and Level 2 NDT Inspectors to foster skills development and quality performance. Maintain NDT equipment and perform system performance checks as per applicable standards. Support daily NDT operations, troubleshoot issues, and assist in workflow management to ensure efficiency. Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, and company safety, quality, and environmental policies. Participate in audits, inspections, and corrective actions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years of related experience in lieu of a degree. At least 4 years of NDT experience. Current Level 3 NDT certification(s) per NAS 410 or equivalent, or eligibility. Strong knowledge of industry standards including ASTM, ASME, NAS 410, and familiarity with FAA and EASA regulations. Excellent skills in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints. Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
6+ years of relevant NDT experience in aerospace. FAA Repairman or Inspector Authorization (IA) certification. Experience in writing and implementing NDT procedures and protocols. Additional certifications in other NDT methods. OTHER :
