The NDT Technician will conduct and interpret non-destructive tests on aircraft components using advanced NDT methods. Must hold a Level 2 NDT certification. Responsible for ensuring part integrity and quality, maintaining compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities:
Perform and interpret NDT on aerospace components, preparing parts as required. Document inspection results in detailed reports, ensuring compliance with all requirements. Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment following approved procedures. Evaluate test results and provide recommendations based on standards and specifications. Analyze work orders, manuals, and blueprints to select appropriate NDT methods. Train and guide Level 1 NDT Inspectors. Maintain NDT equipment and conduct performance checks. Ensure safety and compliance with FAA, EASA, and company policies. Participate in audits and corrective actions as needed. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements:
3 years of related experience or equivalent. Current Level 2 NDT certification per NAS 410 or equivalent. Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of ASTM, ASME, NAS standards, and FAA/EASA regulations. Ability to work independently and in teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry systems. Preferred Requirements:
2-4 years of NDT experience in aerospace. FAA Repairman or Inspector Authorization (IA). Additional NDT certifications. Other:
