Overview
Network and Computer Systems Administrator: Systems Administrator - Aerospace Medical Research (AMR12) – PART-TIME position. ProSidian is a management and operations consulting firm delivering value to clients through risk management, compliance, business processes, IT effectiveness, energy & sustainability, and talent management. We support Gov't - Federal (USA) sector engagements and work with Aerospace Medical Research and Technical Support Services for the Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI). Located near CONUS, Oklahoma City, OK, this role supports requirements for Aerospace and Defense Sector Clients. Responsibilities
Assist under minimal direction in administering and maintaining servers, software, and networks comprising local knowledge management systems. Assist in monitoring system security, updating and installing security patches and software as necessary; assist in responding to periodic system security assessments. Respond to customer service requests by analyzing and resolving indicated problems; maintain the ability of users/customers to securely access databases and software. Monitor current security regulations and orders for changes or revisions; initiate necessary revisions to applicable SOPs under direction. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems identified by customers or other stakeholders; assist in administering a high-performance Linux computing system and network-attached storage. Assist in performing system and software backups and updates; identify, test, recommend, and install new software as requested by users or management. Administer the CAMI High Performance Computer, including cluster and node management, backups/updates, integration with HPC contract support, and maintenance of network connectivity for users. Assist AAM-600 government employees and contractors in use of the High Performance Computer; provide training and documentation (systems requirements, configuration management, user guidance) and install new software as requested. Assist Knowledge Management with system updates and maintenance of Research Computers (Windows and Linux). Maintain the ability of customers to securely access databases and software located on the HPC system; serve as POC for projects updating infrastructure, networks, and connectivity affecting AAM-600. Qualifications
B.S. or higher in System Administration, Computer Science, or related field with at least two years of experience administering secure onsite systems and networks (or, High school diploma with at least six years of experience). Two years of experience in assessing and maintaining system security and network security in accordance with FAA order 1370.121 or similar regulations; two years of experience implementing new system and network security requirements. Two years of experience working productively in a team environment, meeting deadlines, and responding to requests according to defined schedule. Two years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS; ability to test and maintain software. Minimum 2 years of experience as system or network administrator; problem solving ability to examine, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with minimal assistance; one year of experience resolving user service requests. 1 year of experience with teamwork and interpersonal communication with diverse stakeholders; experience with Linux operating systems. Experience with configuration management including implementing new system, network, and/or database security requirements; experience administering a multi-node Linux HPC system, including 1 year operating cluster management software. U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain/maintain required security clearances up to Top Secret or "Q". Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe; e-Verify participation noted.
