The Resource is assisiting a leading manufacturer in the industrial equipment sector
is seeking a
CNC Fabrication & Design Specialist
to lead and support machining and fabrication efforts that deliver high-quality, precision parts to meet customer and engineering requirements. This role blends hands-on machine operation with technical design, programming, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration. Ideal candidates will have a passion for precision, safety, and process improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Location -
fully onsite in Reidsville, NC Key Responsibilities Design & CAD Create and modify 3D models and detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks. Translate design concepts into manufacturable parts and support prototype development. Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the ERP system. Programming & Machine Operations Program and operate CNC machinery, including waterjet, plasma, brake press, CNC lathe, and robotic welding systems. Use CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) to develop and validate machining programs. Design and build tooling, fixtures, and jigs to support production needs. Maintenance & Coordination Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues; coordinate with vendors as needed. Support preventive maintenance efforts and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs). Train and mentor operators on best practices and safe equipment usage. Collaboration & Process Improvement Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Fabrication, and Assembly teams to meet production goals. Identify and implement improvements in processes, tooling, and workflows. Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma or GED required (Associate's or Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred). 3–5 years of CNC programming and machining experience in a manufacturing setting. Strong proficiency with SolidWorks and CAD/CAM software. Skilled in operating a variety of CNC and fabrication equipment. Familiarity with ERP/job tracking systems (Jobscope experience is a plus). Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and team collaboration skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in a loud, non-climate-controlled environment.
